Castles Education LLP is a fast-growing group of Independent Schools providing specialist educational services for 11 – 16-year-old students with social emotional and mental health issues. Our ‘Futures’ educational programme aims to build self-belief, create social and personal opportunity, raise standards, develop ambitious personal aspirations and to create safe trusting environments for everyone in our care regardless of their social, emotional, personal or geographical background.

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to help us build upon the Castles vision and to support our rapid growth. The ideal education professional will be a high-calibre special education professional able to demonstrate their capability in the following areas.

Specifically we are looking for:

- an ambitious and inspirational SENDCo to add extra capacity and work ‘peer to peer’ with our existing team members.
- You will have drive and determination to support our rapidly expanding student intake.
- You will be able to demonstrate a genuine passion and commitment to the sector and to making a continued positive contribution to the school and to those it supports.
- You must have demonstrable experience of leading whole school initiatives and an innovative, current approach to delivering SEND interventions.
- You must be willing to help realise the Castles vision in working towards absolute professionalism and class leading standards in everything we do.
- You must be able to sit comfortably within a strong Leadership Team.

Class sizes are small which promotes our desire for high-quality teaching and learning. Our learners are supported with external vocational experience providing the holistic learning environment required for a rounded education.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

- Holder of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) in a relevant subject.
- A proven track record in managing, supporting and re-engaging young learners with behavioural issues.
- An open mind in alternative education.
- The ability to liaise with external agencies.
- The desire to access a managerial position and grow your leadership skills.
- A demonstrable passion for teaching quality and consistency of standards.
- Patience and a good sense of humour.
- A non-judgemental approach to young people.
- A current, enhanced, updated DBS check (or be willing to undertake one).
- Be willing to undergo a thorough personal assessment through the Safer Recruitment process.
