SALARY: £ 31,200 - 35,100

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to help us build upon the Castles vision. The ideal education professional will be a high-calibre teacher with a proven track record who is looking to develop their management experience in this exciting dual teaching and leadership role.

You will have the opportunity to join the management team of a high quality specialist education provision where you can have a more profound impact on the outcomes of our young learners with social, emotional and learning difficulties. You will have a passion for teaching and educational standards and in ensuring we deliver consistency in approach for everyone in our care. You will work alongside our growing team of qualified teachers, experienced behaviour mentors and administrative staff which means you can focus on helping deliver teaching and professional standards at management level both inside and outside of your own classroom.

Castles Futures Independent Schools are modern, vibrant facilities with excellent equipment and can host up to 60 students per centre at one time. Class sizes are kept small which ensures a high-quality approach to teaching and learning. Our centres are supported by external facilities providing vocational experience allowing class sizes to remain optimum and ensuring a high quality approach to teaching and a varied and exciting curriculum.

Our Lincoln School is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and you will be expected to help build on our existing achievements with a view to demonstrating continuous improvement in all measurable progress areas and teaching standards.

Our ideal applicant will be a highly skilled teacher preferably of Mathematics, English or Science (holding QTS/QTLS), who has a proven track record of engaging and managing young learners who have previously struggled to meet their potential in other environments. You will have a passion for teaching and strive to achieve the best outcomes for your students. You will be looking to grow your management experience by joining our senior team and developing your leadership skills.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:

- Holder of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) in a relevant subject.
- A proven track record in managing, supporting and re-engaging young learners with behavioural issues.
- OR be an outstanding mainstream teacher looking to work with smaller class sizes in a very different environment.
- An open mind in alternative education.
- The ability to liaise with external agencies.
- The desire to access a managerial position and grow your leadership skills.
- A demonstrable passion for teaching quality and consistency of standards.
- Patience and a good sense of humour
- A non-judgemental approach to young people
- A current, enhanced, updated DBS check (or be willing to undertake one)
- Be willing to undergo a thorough vetting and recruitment process
